"For years, I walked into makeup stores with hope, only to leave with disappointment. The foundation shades never matched. The 'universal' products were never made for me. I was told to mix shades, to settle, to make do. But I refused to believe that beauty had limits."

As a woman of colour, finding makeup that truly matched my skin felt like an impossible dream. Every shopping trip was a reminder that the beauty industry wasn't built with me in mind. The frustration of being handed shades that were too light, too orange, or simply non-existent pushed me to ask a simple question: Why should anyone have to compromise when it comes to feeling beautiful?
